Product Description
Castrol Spheerol EPL 2 is part of the Castrol Spheerol EPL range — lithium greases based on highly refined mineral oils, fortified with extreme-pressure (EP) additives plus corrosion and oxidation inhibitors, and formulated to provide good film strength under medium to high loads.
What is it suitable for?
The Spheerol EPL range comprises general-purpose greases designed for plant-wide lubrication, with good film strength under medium to high loads. Spheerol EPL 2 is the NLGI 2 grade in the range. It provides good protection against rust and corrosion and good resistance to water wash-out, making it particularly suitable for equipment where moist or wet conditions are common.
Key performance properties
- High mechanical stability — keeps its consistency in service for long lubricant life
- Good adhesion — film stays between surfaces for continuous lubrication and reduced consumption
- Good water resistance — the film remains on the surface even in the presence of water
- Resistant to copper and steel corrosion
- Excellent EP and anti-wear properties — protects against extreme loading and minimises bearing wear
Always work within the equipment manufacturer’s grease specification. Store in a cool, dry place and keep cartridges sealed until use.
